Reservation Guidelines
The University of Iowa Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is responsible for scheduling all common areas inside the Paul W. Brechler Press Box. Reservations may be made up to two years in advance of the event, however, your booking will only be confirmed once we are within twelve months of the event. While your reservation is being held, only an event sponsored by a department with a higher priority can override your reservation. Bear in mind that we make every effort to preserve your date and we will contact you immediately if a scheduling conflict arises.
When your reservation is confirmed you will receive an event contract from the University of Iowa Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This contract should be reviewed, signed, and returned with the appropriate deposit (see below) and certificate of insurance. Upon receipt of the contract and supporting materials the contract will be executed by the appropriate UI personnel and returned to the requestor.
A deposit of $250.00 is required to confirm all reservations in the first floor club lounge and the second floor club lounge. To confirm reservations deposits are due within 15 working days after the event contract is mailed to the requestor. Any reservations not secured with a deposit by that time will be released.
A deposit of $150.00 is required to confirm all reservations in the UI President’s Suite and the UI Athletic Director’s Suite. To confirm reservations deposits are due within 15 working days after the event contract is mailed to the requestor. Any reservations not secured with a deposit by that time will be released.
If a cancellation occurs, the deposit will be returned as follows:
More than 6 months in advance: 50%
3 to 6 months in advance: 25%
Less than 3 months in advance: 0%
Please note: Reservations cancelled within 31 days of the event will be subject to half of the room rental fee. Any expenses incurred prior to any cancellation will be charged to the requestor.
