What parking is available with my reservation?

Weekend events and all evening events after 5:00 pm will be permitted to use University lot 43, located directly west of the Paul W. Brechler Press Box.  Requestor must receive permission from the UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in order to park buses and RV’s in lot 43.

Events taking place Monday thru Friday between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm will not have access to lot 43.  Groups holding weekday events must use Hospital Ramp 3, located at the intersection of Hawkins Drive and Stadium Drive (NE of Kinnick Stadium) for event parking.  Passes allowing your guests to exit ramp 3 free of charge can be purchased through the UI Parking and Transportation Department.  The UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will facilitate the purchase of event passes if requested. 

Where does the food service originate?

The Iowa Memorial Union is the exclusive caterer to the Paul W. Brechler Press Box.  All food and beverage to be served at the event are subject to the IMU pricelist.  A complete list of menu items and pricing information can be viewed at http://imu.uiowa.edu/guest_services/catering/ 

All events wishing to serve alcoholic beverages must receive approval by the Dean of Students in accordance with the University’s policy manual.  The UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will facilitate the alcohol approval process once a menu has been established.   

Do we need insurance with my reservation?

The University of Iowa Office of Risk Management requires that users of the Paul W. Brechler Press Box provide a Certificate of Insurance for no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence in Commercial General Liability insurance naming the State of Iowa; Board of Regents, State of Iowa; and University of Iowa as additional insurers. 

How do I advance book my reservations?

The University of Iowa Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is responsible for scheduling all common areas inside the Paul W. Brechler Press Box.  Reservations may be made up to two years in advance of the event, however, your booking will only be confirmed once we are within twelve months of the event.  While your reservation is being held, only an event sponsored by a department with a higher priority can override your reservation (see policy guide).  Bear in mind that we make every effort to preserve your date and we will contact you immediately if a scheduling conflict arises. 

Does my reservation include a stadium tour?

Currently we are not offering public tours of the Brechler Press Box.
